When a custom-made product is worthwhile
A custom-made product typically becomes relevant when a standard product does not cover a particular positioning situation, a special cut or a specific combination of material and shape. For custom positioning solutions and special shapes, the dimensions – unlike those of standardized items – cannot always be clearly defined according to a fixed template. Depending on the design, intended use, and anatomical adaptation, the shape, radii, recesses, or transitions vary, so that traditional measurements such as length, width, and height are not always sufficient or unambiguously interpretable. To ensure a precise fit, we therefore generally recommend a brief consultation in advance. Together with you, we define the relevant measurement points as well as the critical reference dimensions – tailored to your specific application and the on-site conditions (e.g., operating table, accessories, or patient-specific requirements).
