mediPlac GmbH, based in Borchen, develops and manufactures practical medical devices “Made in Germany” – with a focus on positioning and support solutions for hospitals, diagnostics, and the operating room – and has done so for around 25 years. Under the management of Hendrik Otto, the company supplies hospitals in Germany, Austria, the Netherlands and Switzerland. 25 years of experience
mediPlac was founded in 2000 and has been active for 25 years in the field of positioning and support solutions for hospitals, diagnostics, and the operating room. Our own development and manufacturing take place exclusively at our site in Borchen in East Westphalia-Lippe, near Paderborn – “Made in Germany” is lived practice here: our products are carefully handcrafted rather than produced via industrial mass manufacturing. From the selection of high-quality materials through precise manufacturing to final inspection, we place the utmost importance on reliable function, hygienic safety, and durable, cost-effective use in daily practice. Our development department works closely with users and with our field sales staff on site, so that products meet the requirements of everyday clinical work.
For every custom-made product, we carry out a risk analysis. We share the result, communicate any necessary proposals for changes transparently – and should a residual risk prove unacceptable, we refrain from manufacturing. Transparency and safety are central to our mission: our processes and products are comprehensively documented and certified, serving as a reliable foundation for procurement, application, and quality management. A quality management system in accordance with ISO 13485, as well as the development, manufacture, and marketing of our medical devices in accordance with the MDR (EU Medical Device Regulation), ensure that we consistently meet the required safety and performance requirements. For the materials we use, we rely on high-quality, flexible and breathable covers that are bacteria-proof, latex-free, liquid-proof and washable, and that can easily be wiped down and disinfected.
Made in Germany Our product development follows the guidelines and recommendations of relevant professional societies. Outside Germany, we sell our products through strong local partners – here you will find all contacts abroad. As part of a strong group of companies, we offer not only our own products but also selected solutions from our sister company Reison – high-quality operating table accessories that complement our positioning and cushioning solutions.
